Mike Hill

Mike has ten years of M&A advisory experience working in Sydney and London. Mike was made a Partner of Ernst & Young and a Director of Ernst & Young Transaction Advisory Services Limited in 2004 before joining Ironbridge in January 2005. At Ernst & Young, he acted as lead financial advisor on a wide variety of M&A transactions across a broad range of industries.
He advised the private equity syndicates for The Riviera Group and Affinity Health transactions, the two largest MBOs in Australia in 2002 and 2003, which were both led by members of the Ironbridge team.
Within the Ironbridge I portfolio, Mike played an exit role in Affinity Health, Australia's largest private hospital group and a lead role in the attempted re-purchase of a A$400 million portfolio of hospitals from Ramsay Health (ultimately acquired by a Healthscope).
He played a leading role in the investment in Barbeques Galore and in the secondary investment in Riviera, Australia's largest manufacturer of luxury motor yachts.
Within the Ironbridge II portfolio, Mike arranged the debt finance supporting the acquisition of EnviroWaste, he led the investment into MediaWorks, the New Zealand Radio and TV business and played a leading role in the investment into Healthbridge, a day surgery "buy and build" platform.
Mike qualified as a Chartered Accountant and holds a BA (Accountancy) degree from the University of South Australia.
